This, contrasted against the applied deer, moon and stars motif featured on the flap, adds a classic touch of detail. Flap is lined with striped ticking. This pouch has a gusset adds for extra room.

QUILLED POUCH

Brain Tanned Deerskin.

Flap made from a beavertail.

This pouch is the collaboration of Ken Scott and Shawn Webster.

Shawn and I had originally done a series of ten pouches as a collaboration. This pouch is the first in a new series.

I design the pouch. Through conversations with Shawn we decide on what style of quillwork will adorn the pouch. Shawn either provides the leather or I send him a hide that I have. He adds the quillwork, sends the leather back to me. I trim the leather and assemble the pouch and add my antique touch to it.

The pouch body is made of brain tanned deerskin. The flap is an actual beavertail. Quillwork accents the pouch body and flap. The top of the flap is also accented with copper cones and red horsehair.

The hand woven strap features the strap fringe on the ends. The strap is dyed with natural dyes.
